Wiggly Teeth!

If you have children, you know what it is like for them to lose that first tooth!

"Do you want me to pull it?"

"No Daddy"

"Can I just feel how loose it is?"

"If you promise not to pull it"

"It's pretty loose...are you sure you don't want me to pull it?"

"Will it hurt?"

The first tooth is special. Not just because they are losing it, but becuase it signals a change. For my daughter, it is the first visual cue that she is growing up. Once they lose that first tooth, their look changes. It seems they automatically age a year by losing that first tooth. Then, when the permanent tooth comes in, you can add antoher two years! Once you see that first tooth start to wiggle--grab your camera--take those still photos, take some video--take them to a studio! This is your last chance to catch that age! Of course, once they lose that first tooth, grab that camera and catch the moment--in pictures and in video! My daughter lost her first tooth at Christmas last year. Check out the next song that played (what a coincidence!)

Hello Danielle,

Thank-you for your business! Most of our studios use Nikon-D80s.

Personally I use a little point-and-shoot digital camera (Sony). I like it because I can put it in my pocket--versus carrying around the larger professional camera. I also like that the little digital cameras take GREAT video--something that most of the professional cameras don't do.

Let me know if you need some advice on what to get. We do alot of homework here at S121, and are pretty well versed in what is out there.

Thanks again,
Bob

Hi Bob!

we just had another photo shoot yesterday for our youngest and took advantage of the 50 percent off coupon! pics turned out great!

I am honestly interested in purchasing that camera,...so you prefer the sony better? exactly what kind is it? if I were to go the store what would I be looking for? I really want a camera that allows me to get really close up to an object. we did the tiny parts at the studio yesterday and were able to get really close up but I would LOVE to have a camera at home that lets me do that. by the way, the tiny parts came out great and I love it!

Hello Danielle,

Thanks for visiting us yesterday!

I have a Sony Cybershot camera. Mine is a year or so old--not sure if they make it anymore. I looked online--I like the Cybershot T70.

This is a "point and shoot" camera--has alot of features, including a touch screen on the back. It looks like you can purchase it online for $249. This one has "macro mode", which allows you to get in close. It also has video--which I think is very important in a camera these days--you won't need to lug that big video camera around. The video on this post (Wiggly Teeth) was taken with my Sony Cybershot.

I think the key to a digital camera is to have one that is small enough that you will actually take it with you. The T70 is pretty cool…and has a touch screen on the back. You can see it here:

http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&partNumber=DSCT70/B

If you are looking for more of a "prosumer" camera, the Nikon D80 is a great camera--about $1,100. It is more like what we use in the studios--but not what I personally use (I also don't believe it does video).

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks again for your business!

Bob

Great! thanks for the advice. that sounds pretty affordable too...my price limit was about 1,000. I guess I'll go to the store and look for both of those cameras and test them out to see which one I would like better....thanks a bunch for the info!

A very special memory on wiggly tooth, has been experienced by different children in the world. It is very memorable, whether it was pulled by a parent or went to a dentist to safely remove it or accidentally fall out.
